London, UK - 21st April 2026 - Visa and TikTok have partnered to launch the UK's first debit card specifically designed for TikTok LIVE creators. The new Creator Card enables creators to access their earnings faster and manage their finances more effectively, with features aimed at improving cash flow and helping creators separate business and personal spending.

The launch responds to the UK's fast-growing creator economy and is designed to give creators access to the financial tools they need to run and grow their business. It also builds on Visa's previous recognition of creators as small businesses and their impact on the digital economy.

How it works

Creators earning through TikTok LIVE currently manage their finances through personal bank accounts. During TikTok LIVE sessions, creators are rewarded for their creativity through virtual gifts, which can be converted into diamonds and exchanged for real income. This income typically arrives in bursts, rather than as a regular monthly salary, meaning short delays between earnings settling in their account can make it harder to cover everyday costs or reinvest in their business.

The Creator Card and its accompanying business account allow creators to:

  • Access earnings faster and spend immediately, avoiding the delays that come with waiting for payouts to fully clear
  • Separate personal and business finances
  • Access financial management tools designed for the specific needs of content creators

Why it matters

Visa research among UK content creators across multiple platforms found:

  • 49% have experienced late or inconsistent payments
  • 41% have turned down new opportunities due to cash flow issues
  • 37% report payment delays cause stress or anxiety
  • 94% want to separate personal and business finances

Globally, there are approximately 200 million creators, with the sector projected to reach $500 billion by 2027. Previous Visa research found 88% of creators expect business revenue growth within one year, 85% are full- or part-time creators earning up to $100K annually, and 94% engage in brand partnerships.
